Legal Counsel – Crypto, Fintech & International Regulatory

About the role

We are looking for a senior international lawyer to lead the legal function of a fast‑moving consulting and administration business that supports global crypto, fintech and software companies. The role is hands‑on, sitting at the intersection of technology, regulation, product development and corporate structuring, and works directly with founders, product and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on complex cross‑border regulatory and product issues across the US, UK, EU, Australia, BVI and Cayman.
• Draft and negotiate commercial, corporate, technology and platform agreements.
• Conduct feature‑level regulatory and risk assessments for crypto/fintech products.
• Provide guidance on AML/KYC, sanctions, licensing, geo‑restrictions and consumer protection.
• Lead international corporate structuring and entity governance.
• Manage external counsel on cross‑border disputes and litigation.
• Support IP, commercial negotiations and corporate housekeeping.
• Build and develop the legal and compliance framework from the ground up.

Required profile

• Strong international legal and cross‑border regulatory experience.
• Hands‑on experience in crypto, fintech or blockchain environments.
• Deep understanding of blockchain products, token launches, exchanges, launchpads, payments or Web3.
• Proven track record managing international disputes through external counsel.
• Extensive corporate structuring experience.
• Comfortable operating autonomously in a startup/entrepreneurial setting.
• Ability to make commercially practical decisions in evolving legal landscapes.
• Fast‑moving, pragmatic approach and confidence advising senior stakeholders directly.
