Legal Counsel – Financial Services Regulatory

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join a global investor’s legal team in the United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on providing regulatory support for financial services across multiple jurisdictions, including the United States and other global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver regulatory advice and compliance solutions for financial services activities in the UAE and abroad.
• Interpret and apply common‑law principles to complex financial transactions.
• Collaborate with internal business units and external counsel to manage regulatory risk.
• Monitor changes in financial services regulations across relevant jurisdictions and advise on implementation.

Required profile

• Qualified in a common‑law jurisdiction.
• 4‑8 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in financial services regulatory law.
• Background in a top‑tier US, Magic Circle, or Silver Circle law firm’s FS regulatory practice.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of financial services regulatory frameworks.
• Strong analytical and drafting abilities.
• Ability to work across multiple jurisdictions and cultures.
