Legal Counsel

About the role

Teneo is seeking its first UAE‑based Legal Counsel to support its expanding Strategy & Communications, Consulting, Financial Advisory, Risk Advisory and People Advisory businesses across the Middle East and Asia Pacific. The role will work closely with Teneo’s global legal team in London and the US, reporting to the Deputy General Counsel in Washington, DC, and will be based in Dubai with travel to Riyadh.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including professional services, data processing, vendor supply and confidentiality agreements.
• Update and create template documents to standardise contractual practices.
• Collaborate with the global legal team to ensure consistent legal practices across the organisation.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice to internal clients and external counterparties.
• Monitor regional legal and regulatory changes to maintain compliance.
• Document legal know‑how and contribute to internal knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
• Support data‑protection initiatives and governance processes.
• Assist in developing and improving policies and processes to meet legal and regulatory requirements.
• Handle corporate matters such as group reorganisations, entity incorporation, company secretarial work, powers of attorney, notarisation and apostille processes.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with approximately 5 years post‑qualification experience (PQE), including in‑house experience in a multinational environment.
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating contracts in the UAE or broader Middle East region.
