Legal Counsel – Real Estate

About the role

The Legal Counsel – Real Estate will act as an assistant legal advisor on all real‑estate matters across LOBA GROUP’s development, investment, asset‑management and operational activities. The role supports the full lifecycle of projects, from land acquisition and structuring through development, leasing, asset management and disposal, while liaising with regulators such as ADREC and ADGM.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on land acquisitions, disposals and development opportunities.
• Draft, review and negotiate sale and purchase agreements, development agreements and joint‑venture arrangements.
• Advise on leasing matters for commercial, residential, retail and mixed‑use assets.
• Support asset‑management teams on tenant issues, lease negotiations and portfolio management.
• Review and negotiate brokerage, property‑management and consultancy agreements.
• Handle real‑estate regulatory matters and interact with Abu Dhabi authorities.
• Manage external counsel for significant transactions and specialist matters.
• Identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks associated with projects and investments.
• Develop and maintain legal templates and internal policies for real‑estate operations.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer from a recognised common or civil law jurisdiction.
• Minimum 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience, preferably at a leading international or top‑tier regional law firm.
• Experience advising on complex real‑estate transactions and development projects.
• Prior in‑house experience within a real‑estate developer, investor or sovereign‑related entity is advantageous.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Arabic language skills beneficial but not essential.
