Legal Counsel – UAE & Middle East (Dubai)

About the role

Join SoftwareOne’s newly created legal function in Dubai and support the company’s growth across the Middle East. You will work closely with regional business units while collaborating with an international legal team to turn complex legal questions into clear, practical guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Take responsibility for day‑to‑day legal matters of the Dubai subsidiary and support other entities in the region.
• Draft, review and negotiate customer, supplier and partner contracts, including software licensing, IT services and public‑sector agreements.
• Provide practical legal support to Sales, Finance, Procurement, People & Culture and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate relationships with external lawyers and consultants when specialist advice is required.
• Support data‑protection activities, reviewing data‑processing agreements and working with Group Data Protection and Compliance teams.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in law or equivalent legal qualification.
• Strong knowledge of contract law and ability to draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Commercial judgement to balance legal risk with business objectives.
• Awareness of Middle‑East legal and regulatory frameworks, including public‑sector requirements.
• Fluency in Arabic and English; local presence in Dubai is required.
