Legal Solutions Project Manager

About the role

Freshfields, a global law firm with more than 5,500 people across 33 offices, is looking for a Legal Solutions Project Manager to lead AI-enabled legal solutions, applications and technology initiatives. The role sits at the intersection of law, technology and business, partnering with lawyers, business stakeholders, Product Managers and Engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution and delivery of AI-enabled legal solutions, applications and technology initiatives.
• Partner with lawyers, business stakeholders, Product Managers and Engineers to define project scope, objectives, timelines and success metrics.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet business and user requirements.
• Manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, budgets, risks and issue resolution across multiple workstreams.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, requirements gathering, status updates and governance meetings.
• Support pilots, user acceptance testing, rollouts and adoption initiatives.
• Track and report progress, benefits, risks and opportunities to leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, governance and change management.
• Ensure solutions align with security, compliance, risk and responsible AI requirements.

Required profile

• Experience managing technology, legal technology, AI, digital transformation or business process projects in a law firm, professional services or corporate environment.
• Strong project management expertise, including planning, resource coordination, risk management and stakeholder communication.
• Understanding of legal workflows, legal operations, knowledge management or professional services delivery.
• Experience working with software, product and engineering teams using Agile and hybrid delivery.
• Ability to manage several initiatives at once in a fast-paced, global environment.
• Experience supporting technology adoption, change management and user engagement.

Required skills

• PMP, Prince2, Agile, Scrum or equivalent certification is desirable.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, legal AI platforms, document automation or knowledge management solutions.
• Understanding of responsible AI, information governance, privacy and regulatory considerations.
