Legal Trainee – Banking & Regulatory Law

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Legal Trainee to support our banking and regulatory legal team. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in legal research, contract administration, and compliance monitoring within a dynamic financial institution.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on banking, regulatory, and contractual matters.
• Assist in reviewing, drafting, and managing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Maintain legal records, contract databases, and document repositories.
• Prepare legal reports, correspondence, presentations, and management information reports.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather information and documentation for legal matters.
• Monitor regulatory developments and record updates impacting the bank.
• Support litigation management, compliance reviews, and legal advisory tasks.
• Assist in coordinating with external counsel, regulators, and other external stakeholders as needed.

Required profile

• UAE national with a strong interest in banking, corporate, and regulatory law.
• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of UAE legal principles and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
