Licensed Aircraft Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join Etihad Engineering’s world‑class maintenance team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves performing and certifying maintenance on a diverse fleet, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and technical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Certify your own work and that of others, confirming tasks meet approved data and authorization scope.
• Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and on time according to company procedures.
• Prepare materials, parts, tools and equipment at the start of each shift and maintain a clean, hazard‑free environment.
• Guide and assist Aircraft Technicians to ensure safe and effective working practices.
• Conduct inspections of ground support equipment and company vehicles, completing required checklists.

Required profile

• High school diploma, university degree or equivalent.
• Valid Aircraft Maintenance License (GCAA, EASA Part‑66 or ICAO Type convertible to GCAA).
• 7–10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 5 years of certifying experience in a line or base maintenance environment.
• 2–3 years of certifying experience on at least two of Etihad’s type ratings (e.g., Airbus 320, Boeing 777).
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset with a commitment to safety and quality.

Required skills

• ICAO Type licensing.
• Airbus 320 (and related variants such as 330 NEO, 350, 380).
• Boeing 777 and Boeing 787 type ratings.
• Aircraft Maintenance License.
• EASA Part‑66 knowledge.
• GCAA regulatory compliance.
