Life Guard – Recreation Experience Expert

About the role

Join the Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort & Spa team as a Life Guard‑Recreation Experience Expert. You will be the key point of contact for guests using the resort’s pools, beach, fitness centre, game‑room and children’s activity areas, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide information about all recreation facilities and promote participation in activities.
• Encourage, register and schedule guests for pool, beach, fitness and entertainment programs.
• Enforce safety rules, monitor activities and respond to emergencies according to local procedures.
• Offer cashier services for equipment rentals, activity fees and retail sales using point‑of‑sale systems.
• Assist with private functions and group events held in recreation areas.
• Support injured guests until emergency services arrive and report incidents to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of facilities, equipment and supplies.
• Uphold company policies, professional appearance and confidentiality standards.

Required profile

• At least one month of experience in a recreation, lifeguard or hospitality role.
• Ability to interact courteously with guests of diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities.
• Strong attention to safety, detail and cleanliness.
• Willingness to work flexible hours in an onsite hotel environment.

Required skills

• CPR Certification
• First Aid Certification
• Proficiency with Point of Sale Systems
• Knowledge of recreation equipment operation and maintenance
