Life of Field Engineering Manager

About the role

TechnipFMC is seeking a Field Engineering Manager to lead the LOF engineering team within ICAD in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role ensures compliance with TechnipFMC engineering standards, drives operational execution excellence, and supports offshore drilling, completions, and maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a multi‑discipline LOF engineering team covering D&C, instrumentation/automation, and MMR.
• Define and adjust staffing levels and skill sets to meet project and operational needs.
• Maintain and develop team competencies through selection, training, and knowledge transfer.
• Validate scope and resource requirements during project definition.
• Guarantee compliance with design, manufacturing, quality standards, and customer satisfaction targets.
• Monitor team performance and adherence to TechnipFMC processes throughout project execution.
• Ensure regional technical integrity by liaising with LOF support centers, engineering centers, and alternative service providers.
• Consolidate discipline know‑how and best practices into reference documentation.
• Facilitate dissemination of best practices and knowledge across work groups.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing engineering teams in oil & gas or related industries.
• Strong understanding of drilling & completions (D&C), modification‑maintenance‑repair (MMR), and instrumentation/automation.
• Ability to define staffing requirements and skill levels for complex projects.
• Experience ensuring technical integrity, quality compliance, and customer satisfaction.
• Capability to develop and administer schedules, performance metrics, and budgets.

Required skills

• Knowledge of TechnipFMC engineering standards and procedures.
• Experience with offshore drilling and completions processes.
• Familiarity with modification, maintenance, and repair activities.
• Understanding of instrumentation and automation engineering.
