Lifeguard

About the role

Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated Lifeguard to join its Leisure team. You will ensure the safety of guests and staff in the hotel’s private beach and pool areas while delivering the high‑standard service expected of a 5‑star resort.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor designated swimming zones (beach and pool) during posted business hours.
• Set up and maintain lifesaving flotation devices and correct flag signals.
• Perform rescues, including surfboard and kayak assistance on the shoreline.
• Conduct chlorine residual water tests and maintain pool hygiene standards.
• Report to the Assistant Operations Manager and collaborate with the Leisure department.

Required profile

• Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized international association.
• Ability to swim 400 m in under 8 minutes.
• Current First Aid, CPR, and Artificial Resuscitation (mouth‑to‑mouth) certifications.
• Active status on AED operation.
• Minimum of one month relevant experience.
