Lifeguard

About the role

A full-time, non-management lifeguard position is available at a Le Méridien property in Dubai (Al Mamsha Street). The role covers pool safety, guest service and housekeeping tasks around the pool area.

Key responsibilities

• Use appropriate rescue techniques when swimmers need help and watch the pool for dangerous conditions, unsafe activities and struggling swimmers
• Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility and warn guests who cannot safely take part in an activity
• Assist injured guests until emergency medical services arrive
• Obtain, fold and stack towels and wash, mop and clean the pool deck
• Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to the manager and complete safety training and certifications
• Welcome guests, assist people with disabilities and keep company policies and confidential information
• Follow quality assurance standards and comply with physical demands such as standing, lifting up to 50 pounds alone and moving over uneven surfaces

Required profile

• CPR certification and First Aid certification
• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred
• No related or supervisory experience required
