Logistics Manager – UAE Operations

About the role

The Logistics Manager will be fully responsible for Midea's UAE logistics operations, covering import customs clearance, warehouse management, last‑mile delivery, export activities and regulatory compliance. The role ensures an efficient logistics chain while continuously optimizing costs and service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee import customs and trade compliance, manage clearing agents and monitor SLA performance.
• Manage owned and 3PL warehouses, maintain inventory accuracy and drive WMS optimization.
• Lead the last‑mile delivery network across all seven Emirates, ensuring on‑time delivery and low complaint rates.
• Coordinate export operations, handle documentation and work with freight forwarders to optimize routes.
• Ensure all logistics activities comply with UAE federal and emirate‑level regulations.
• Manage 3PL and vendor relationships, negotiate rates and achieve annual cost‑reduction targets.
• Identify cost‑optimization opportunities and drive digitalisation initiatives such as TMS/E​DI integration and data dashboards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain or International Trade.
• 8+ years of logistics management experience, including at least 3 years managing UAE local logistics.
• Familiarity with UAE import customs, Jebel Ali Port operations and free‑zone regulations.
• Experience in the home‑appliance, consumer‑electronics or retail sector is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams of five or more and to work cross‑functionally with sales, finance and product teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Strong knowledge of SAP or Oracle ERP platforms.
• Experience with data analysis, EDI integration and logistics dashboard development.
• Ability to manage customs documentation and HS‑code classification.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.
