Logistics Supervisor – Operations Management

About the role

The Logistics Supervisor will support daily operational duties and act as deputy for the Operations Manager when required. This role focuses on safety, KPI achievement and continuous improvement of logistics processes at the delivery station.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritise and improve safety standards at the delivery station.
• Supervise logistics assistants, coordinators and delivery associates to meet and exceed operational KPIs.
• Monitor performance of coordinators and associates, providing coaching and feedback.
• Partner with supporting departments to optimise logistics processes and operations.
• Communicate expectations and quality standards to delivery service providers.
• Interview candidates for associate roles and oversee onboarding.
• Brief and monitor workload of drivers and associates, ensuring accurate administrative completion.
• Measure, track and report daily metrics and workflow performance to the Operations Manager.

Required profile

• Experience managing teams.
• Experience with planning, performance metrics and process improvement.
• Preferred: Experience in logistics.
• Preferred: Experience with data analysis.
