Maintenance Planner

About the role

The Maintenance Planner will coordinate and schedule manpower, materials, equipment and vendor resources to support corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance activities across our plant facilities. The role ensures that work orders are properly evaluated, prioritized and executed with maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Review incoming work orders for completeness and collaborate with operations and execution supervisors to assess field status before finalizing plans.
• Determine resource requirements—including manpower, skill sets, estimated man‑hours, material lists, tools and safety considerations—and initiate requisitions.
• Analyze work‑order priorities, recommending adjustments to reduce unnecessary urgent jobs and lower maintenance costs.
• Maintain and monitor backlog information, following up on material shortages and engineering constraints.
• Coordinate with the warehouse to secure stock and non‑stock items needed for major overhauls and turnarounds.
• Prepare and follow up on preventive maintenance schedules with various maintenance sections to ensure timely completion.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives, proposing alternative planning methods and reporting daily job progress.
• Prepare backlog reports and take corrective actions to achieve target backlog levels.

Required profile

• Experience in maintenance planning within an industrial or plant environment.
• Understanding of corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance processes.
• Familiarity with health, safety, environment (HSE) standards, sustainability and risk‑management frameworks.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate priorities effectively.
