Field Service Engineer – Water Treatment

About the role

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of advanced water and wastewater treatment plants for Gradiant in Abu Dhabi and surrounding sites. The role combines hands‑on field work with close interaction with customers, sales and technical support to ensure reliable plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute annual maintenance contracts and after‑sales service plans, mobilising tools, spares and manpower for site tasks.
• Diagnose faults, prepare service reports and communicate repair estimates and timelines to clients.
• Install, configure and commission water treatment systems, including PLC panels, instruments and RO units, both on‑shore and offshore.
• Perform equipment calibration, reconditioning of RO plants and component parts, and ensure completion within budget and schedule.
• Provide training to client operators and hand over systems after commissioning.
• Support workshop activities such as manufacturing and assembly of RO units when not on site.
• Maintain compliance with Gradiant’s HSE policies and QHSE standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and work in offshore or vessel environments.

Required skills

• PLC panel installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Reverse Osmosis (RO) system assembly, installation and reconditioning.
• Water treatment plant fault diagnosis and equipment calibration.
• Use of diagnostic and testing tools for plant equipment.
• Understanding of HSE and QHSE compliance requirements.
