Maintenance Planner

About the role

The Maintenance Planner supports effective maintenance delivery by structuring the planning and scheduling of work orders. Using data from the Maintenance Management System (MMS), manpower rosters and competency maps, the role ensures that maintenance activities are realistic, cost‑efficient and aligned with operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Planning Manager in delivering maintenance plans and driving process improvements.
• Extract, analyse and prioritise maintenance work orders from the MMS to create accurate schedules.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Leads, Engineering and Planning teams to validate manpower allocation and execution feasibility.
• Optimise resource utilisation, minimise re‑work and highlight planning risks that could affect productivity.
• Develop and maintain Excel‑based planning tools, dashboards and reports to monitor planned vs. actual work.

Required profile

• Engineering graduate (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Electronics & Communications, Transportation/Automobile) with knowledge of metro or tram systems.
• At least 2 years of experience in engineering works management, maintenance planning, scheduling work orders and resource coordination.
• Working knowledge of the MMS and work‑order management processes.
