Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor will lead the daily operations of an automotive workshop, ensuring that all maintenance and repair tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. You will coordinate technicians, manage job cards, and act as the first point of contact for technical and safety issues.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise technicians, helpers, and workshop assistants during maintenance, servicing, inspection, and repair activities.
• Allocate work according to the Maintenance Manager’s instructions and monitor progress until completion.
• Support technicians with diagnosis, repair, testing, and troubleshooting of vehicle issues.
• Maintain accurate job cards, recording work performed, parts used, time taken, and any additional findings.
• Conduct first‑level quality checks before forwarding jobs for final approval.
• Ensure required parts, tools, consumables, and equipment are available and used correctly.
• Enforce PPE usage, safe work practices, and workshop housekeeping standards.
• Monitor technician attendance, productivity, workmanship, and daily output.
• Escalate delays, technical complications, parts shortages, safety concerns, and manpower issues to the Maintenance Manager.
• Submit daily reports on completed jobs, pending work, productivity metrics, and workshop concerns.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience in automotive maintenance, mechanical repairs, or fleet maintenance.
• At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead‑technician role, preferably in the UAE.
• Technical Diploma/ITI or equivalent certification in Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields (practical experience may substitute).
• Strong communication skills to interact with technicians, managers, and support staff.
