Maintenance Technician – Plastic Manufacturing

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure production machines and utilities operate safely, reliably, and efficiently by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and supporting root‑cause analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns of injection moulding, blow moulding, EBM/IBM, printing, and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, inspections, and component replacements according to checklists.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
• Maintain compressors, air dryers, chillers, pumps, and cooling‑water systems.
• Inspect and service motors, sensors, control panels, VFDs/servos, PLC/HMI systems, and interlocks.
• Follow LOTO, Permit to Work, PPE, electrical isolation, and machine‑guarding procedures.
• Document maintenance job cards, spare‑parts consumption, and shift handovers.
• Support root‑cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce repeat breakdowns.

Required profile

• 2–6 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in plastic manufacturing.
• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related trade.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and preventive maintenance.

Required skills

• Injection moulding, blow moulding, EBM/IBM equipment knowledge.
• Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic system expertise.
• PLC, HMI, VFD/servo familiarity.
• Use of multimeter and other testing equipment.
