Manager, Aviation Operations (NE)

About the role

ADNOC Distribution is hiring a Manager, Aviation Operations (NE) based in Sharjah. The role manages aviation refuelling (into-plane operations) and non-refuelling activities (depot and hydrant operations), together with marketing and business development, across civil airports and air strips in the Dubai, Sharjah and Northern Emirates region, in line with company procedures, local and international laws and customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Business management: prepare quotations for additional aviation services, manage credit and carnet customer lists, collect cash and cheques and report to Finance, coordinate with JV partners and take part in business development.
• Into-plane operations: deliver aircraft refuelling and defueling safely according to IATA service level agreements, maintain a $1 billion liability insurance certificate, estimate sales, allocate resources and personnel, renew vehicle registrations and passes, and keep airport areas refuelling-compliant.
• Depot and hydrant operations: maintain IATA-recommended stock levels (minimum 3 days' working stock), close stock and financial systems on time, ensure fuel integrity from receipt to aircraft, and make sure depot and hydrant operations meet JIG requirements.
• Quality, safety, risk and compliance: perform quality checks within permitted deviations, take part in incident investigations, audits and risk assessments, manage staff performance, conduct emergency response exercises, and ensure operators hold valid certificates of competency and undergo regular drug and alcohol testing.
• Customer relations: resolve complaints, visit customers and airport authorities, and pass new customer leads to the Aviation Sales team.
• Projects and infrastructure: upgrade depot infrastructure and take part in operational and technical projects.
