Manager - Business Banking Risk and Control

About the role

Join Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank’s Retail Banking Group as a Manager responsible for Business Banking risk and control. You will oversee risk exposures, ensure compliance with the bank’s risk appetite, and support governance across assigned portfolios, products and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage risk and control activities across Business Banking portfolios to align with risk appetite, regulatory requirements and internal governance.
• Review risk exposures, challenge control weaknesses and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor risk indicators, control effectiveness measures and policy adherence to identify emerging risks.
• Provide analysis and recommendations for risk‑based decision making and escalation of material issues.
• Coordinate control reviews, testing activities and assurance assessments to evaluate effectiveness.
• Support implementation and monitoring of corrective actions to close control gaps.
• Oversee regulatory, compliance and financial crime risk requirements, ensuring adherence to applicable standards.
• Manage Risk and Control Self‑Assessment activities, key risk indicators and risk inventories.
• Prepare governance reports, risk dashboards and portfolio monitoring outputs for senior management.

Required profile

• Ambitious professional with solid experience in risk management, control and compliance within banking.
• Strong analytical abilities to assess risk exposures and recommend mitigation actions.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with governance committees and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and drive implementation of corrective measures.
