Manager Financial Inventory Control & Accounting

About the role

On behalf of a leading organization in the environmental and energy sector, we are seeking a Manager Financial Inventory Control & Accounting to oversee the financial control, valuation, and reporting of inventory across the Group. The role ensures accurate inventory records, effective reconciliation and reporting, and strong internal controls in line with accounting standards while working closely with Finance and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial control of inventory balances, ensuring accurate recording, classification, valuation, and reconciliation in the accounting system.
• Manage periodic inventory reconciliations between physical counts, inventory records, and the general ledger, investigating and resolving variances.
• Ensure appropriate inventory valuation, provisions, write‑offs, and adjustments in accordance with applicable accounting standards and Group policies.
• Lead periodic inventory audits and physical verification exercises, coordinating with Finance, internal audit, external auditors, and business teams.
• Develop and strengthen internal controls and financial procedures around inventory recording, adjustments, transfers, and reconciliation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA preferred.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in inventory accounting, financial control, or related finance functions, with prior managerial experience.
• Strong understanding of inventory valuation, provisions, write‑offs, reconciliations and financial reporting in line with accounting standards.
