Manager – KYC & Onboarding (Government Emiratised)

About the role

The Manager KYC & Onboarding will lead the end‑to‑end client onboarding process for new corporate and investment banking customers, ensuring compliance with UAE and international regulations. The role coordinates with internal stakeholders, compliance teams and external clients to deliver timely and accurate KYC reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full KYC and onboarding lifecycle, including new client onboarding, periodic and trigger reviews.
• Verify account opening forms and Swift messages, conduct name screening, due‑diligence and adverse media checks.
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to gather required KYC information and documentation.
• Perform independent research using approved public sources and review AML, KYC and sanctions questionnaires.
• Assess third‑party service providers for corporate and investment banking clients.
• Maintain data in the Alpha system and ensure adherence to TATs, SLAs and regulatory requirements.
• Develop relationships with CIB stakeholders and support both onboarding and off‑boarding processes.
• Prepare and present MI reports, monitor KRI/KPI metrics and track exceptions to resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Banking or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a reputable international bank, within KYC, onboarding or compliance functions.
• Strong knowledge of AML/KYC regulations, financial institution requirements and client structures.
• Experience operating in a global regulatory environment and handling funds, brokers, loan agencies and correspondent banks.
• Proactive, business‑oriented with ability to prioritize conflicting demands.
• Preferred certifications in Compliance, KYC/AML/CFT or Risk Management.
