About the role
Lead individual New Venture projects by identifying, evaluating, and recommending acquisitions of international oil and gas assets. Work closely with the Growth Team and maintain strategic relationships with industry players.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and lead screening/evaluation of investment opportunities, monitoring industry trends and attending conferences.
- Assist the Business Growth VP in developing strategies, assessing risks, and estimating seller needs.
- Lead pre‑qualification activities for bid rounds and prepare Dragon Oil presentation materials.
- Coordinate activity plans with Growth teams and Country VPs, monitor progress, and flag critical risks.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in oil and gas business development, project and business management.
Required skills
- Advanced understanding of upstream M&A, asset acquisitions, farm‑ins/farm‑outs, and partnership structures.
- Experience negotiating PSAs/PSCs, TSCs, JOAs, concession and offtake agreements.
