Manager - Social Compliance

About the role

The Manager, Social Compliance will lead the development and maintenance of a risk‑based social compliance and human‑rights framework for Majid Al Futtaim Retail operations and its third‑party suppliers. You will ensure adherence to human‑rights standards, responsible sourcing policies, and labour regulations across multiple geographies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct social compliance risk assessments and maintain supplier risk registers.
• Lead supplier Pre‑Qualification Assessments (PQAs) and ongoing compliance monitoring.
• Ensure alignment with the Human Rights Policy, supplier code of conduct, and ethical recruitment standards.
• Manage corrective action plans (CAPs) and track remediation progress.
• Perform worker interviews, support grievance investigations and drive remediation.
• Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, Sustainability, Operations, Risk, and HR teams.
• Develop and deliver training, awareness programmes and supplier forums.
• Prepare management and annual social performance reports, including adverse media monitoring.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Rights Compliance, Social Compliance, Occupational Health & Safety or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree; certifications such as SA8000, APSCA, ISO 45001, SMETA or Sedex are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UN Guiding Principles, ILO Conventions and the Employer Pays Principle.
• Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, supplier audits, investigations and manage corrective actions.
• Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, communication and reporting skills.
• Fluent English; Hindi/Urdu is an advantage.
