Manager - Vessel Solutions

About the role

The Manager - Vessel Solutions will lead the selection, implementation and optimisation of vessel management solutions across the fleet, ensuring seamless integration of technical, operational, HSEQ, crewing, procurement and compliance functions. This role drives digital transformation initiatives to enhance fleet performance, regulatory compliance and data visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise vessel management systems including PMS, Crewing, HSEQ, Procurement and Fleet Management platforms.
• Lead digital transformation and process automation initiatives across fleet operations.
• Develop dashboards, reports and performance analytics to support management decision‑making.
• Oversee vessel and shore‑based IT hardware, networks and communication systems such as VSAT, Starlink and Inmarsat.
• Manage software, IT and communication contracts, vendor evaluations, negotiations and SLA compliance.
• Standardise operational processes, ensure compliance with ISM Code, IMO, ISO standards and support audits.
• Drive user adoption through training, change management and promotion of digital best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of marine/project experience with digital solutions, fleet systems or technology project management.
• Proven experience managing maritime communication systems and technology vendors.
• Strong stakeholder coordination, problem‑solving and compliance knowledge.

Required skills

• Experience with vessel management systems such as AMOS, NS5, Helm CONNECT, ShipNet or Danaos.
• ERP platforms: SAP, Oracle, Odoo or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Reporting tools: Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform.
• Maritime communications: VSAT, Starlink, Inmarsat, Iridium.
• IT infrastructure, cybersecurity and systems integration.
