Managing Director – Sub‑Saharan Africa

About the role

The Managing Director for Sub‑Saharan Africa will lead Aramex’s operations across a strategic cluster of countries, driving growth, profitability and operational excellence. Reporting to the global executive team, the role combines high‑level strategic oversight with hands‑on execution to expand the company’s footprint in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Serve on the Global Executive Team and contribute to enterprise‑wide strategy and decision‑making.
• Develop and implement a region‑specific strategic roadmap aligned with corporate objectives.
• Define revenue, market‑share and product‑vertical targets based on deep market insights.
• Hold full P&L accountability and lead the preparation and management of regional budgets.
• Drive customer acquisition, retention and sales growth while managing key relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Lead execution of regional and global strategic initiatives, including priority trade lanes and industry verticals.
• Ensure alignment between regional operations and global functional teams, promoting consistency and knowledge sharing.
• Prepare and present performance updates and board presentations as required.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience, preferably at Executive or CEO level, within logistics, transport or related sectors.
• Strong track record of delivering sustainable growth and profitability in a multi‑country environment.
• Excellent judgment, strategic thinking and ability to execute disciplined cost‑management.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
