About the role

Lindblad Expeditions seeks a Mandarin‑speaking Naturalist to join its expedition team in Dubai. The role involves delivering engaging natural‑history interpretation in Mandarin for guests aboard our ships, supporting daily itinerary delivery, and enhancing the overall guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Create and present informative talks, recaps, and on‑site interpretations in Mandarin.
• Collaborate with field staff to execute the expedition itinerary.
• Dine and interact with guests, fostering a personable and educational atmosphere.
• Adapt to multi‑national environments and live in close quarters with crew and guests.
• Travel on expedition contracts lasting a minimum of 3‑5 weeks, with variable daily hours.

Required profile

• Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin.
• Experience in polar regions within the expedition or tourism industry.
• Strong natural‑history knowledge of expedition destinations.
• Excellent customer‑service focus and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Team‑player with proven training and educator skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or at least four years of relevant professional experience.
