About the role
The Marine HR Crewing Specialist is responsible for recruiting, deploying, and supporting licensed marine personnel for McDermott International's fleet operating from Dubai. The role ensures crew schedules, training, compliance, and welfare are managed efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Recruit licensed marine crew in line with government‑mandated safe manning requirements.
- Manage crew deployments and rotations across the fleet.
- Plan and coordinate crew training, including SOLAS and STCW95 qualification revalidation.
- Maintain physical or digital employee files and update HR system data.
- Prepare and submit payroll tickets, review payroll claims, and handle employee queries.
- Generate offer letters, verification of employment, salary and promotion documents.
- Coordinate onboarding and off‑boarding processes, including orientation and exit interviews.
- Support HR reporting, metrics, and general HR initiatives.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in maritime studies, human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- Relevant certification or license in crewing management or maritime law is preferred.
- Experience managing full life‑cycle HR processes for marine personnel.
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations such as SOLAS and STCW95.
