Marine Manager – Maritime Solutions

About the role

Based at the Jebel Ali Operations facility in Dubai, the Marine Manager reports to the General Manager of the UAE Ports Business Unit. The role oversees day‑to‑day and long‑term operational and technical management of Maritime Solutions’ tugs, pilot boats and mooring departments across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure fleet vessels are fit for purpose, fully operational and meet contractual and customer requirements.
• Manage the Mooring, Pilot Boats and Tugs departments, including crew training, certification and survey compliance.
• Develop vessel programmes to optimise asset utilisation, crewing and top‑side maintenance.
• Maintain and update operational procedures, incident reporting and client liaison on operational matters.
• Oversee technical aspects such as dockings, builds, modifications, conversions and new installations.
• Work with the technical team to develop annual budgets and control costs within approved limits.
• Provide technical input for new projects, tenders and contract renewals, ensuring cost‑effective solutions.

Required profile

• Experience in managing marine operations and technical performance of vessels.
• Ability to establish and maintain business relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Strong understanding of survey, certification, regulatory and insurance requirements.
