Maritime Accountant – Corporate HQ, Dubai

About the role

We are seeking a Maritime Accountant to join our corporate headquarters in Dubai. The role involves managing financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and supporting audit activities for a maritime agency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports, including P&L and balance sheet schedules.
• Reconcile inventory, supplier and customer accounts, and maintain fixed asset schedules.
• Book invoices with proper approvals, PO, GRN, and adjust supplier advances before payment.
• Maintain accounts payable listings, post‑dated cheques, and process bank payments after verification.
• Reconcile bank balances, handle petty cash, and record all cash and cheque transactions.
• Post intercompany entries and complete monthly intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing schedules and work papers for quarterly and yearly audits.
• Perform any additional duties as directed by superiors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com, M.Com).
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in a maritime agency.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, bank reconciliation and audit support.
