Market Research Associate

About the role

Dune Strategy is a small management consulting firm advising international investors, family groups and sovereign-linked entities on commercial decisions across the GCC. The Market Research Associate works with paid-click demand data to turn it into briefing material for partners, supporting client conversations. The position is permanent, full-time and fully remote, based in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain search and paid-click datasets showing how demand for a product, sector or region is moving.
• Map counterparties and competitors: who is advertising, what they promise, and what that says about their commercial position.
• Assemble briefing material for partner-led conversations, with numbers checked and sources clear.
• Track a regulatory or policy path over time and flag changes affecting live work.
• Write short notes usable ten minutes before a meeting, and keep research files organised so claims can be traced and defended.

Required profile

• Clarity of thought: breaking a messy question into a few things worth checking.
• Basic knowledge of market research methods, from a study, internship, side project or first job.
• Writing in English that is clear and concise, with no padding.
• Confident use of spreadsheets and willingness to learn new research and advertising tools.
• Pragmatic approach to data, comfort with incomplete information, and patience to dig deeper.
• Helpful background: interest in finance, economics, politics or business decision-making; familiarity with search advertising dashboards, keyword tools or web analytics; any prior research work; Arabic or another regional language; exposure to sectors such as retail, real estate, logistics or financial services.
