Marketing Intern – Content Creation & Social Media

About the role

Squish Planet is seeking a creative and proactive Marketing Intern to support its content creation and social media efforts in Dubai. The six‑month paid internship offers hands‑on experience in e‑commerce, short‑form video production and digital marketing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, film and edit engaging TikTok videos and Instagram Reels featuring Squish Planet products.
• Research current TikTok and Instagram trends and propose relevant content ideas.
• Upload, optimize and publish content across social media platforms.
• Monitor performance metrics such as views, engagement, retention, comments and sales impact.
• Support product launches, new arrivals, restocks and other e‑commerce marketing activities.
• Assist with Shopify‑related marketing and merchandising tasks.
• Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) for content ideas, scripts, captions and workflow automation.
• Create simple marketing assets using Canva and AI tools, and assist with product photography.
• Respond to customer comments and messages professionally.
• Contribute to daily marketing tasks and content planning, collaborating closely with the team.

Required profile

• Comfortable appearing on camera and speaking naturally in English.
• Previous experience creating short‑form content for TikTok or Instagram.
• Proactive, resourceful and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Organised, reliable and eager to learn.
• Valid UAE residency for at least six months and reliable transportation to the office.

Required skills

• CapCut or equivalent mobile video‑editing software.
• Familiarity with current TikTok and Instagram trends.
• Basic Canva or graphic‑design asset creation.
• Use of AI tools such as ChatGPT.
• Basic product photography.
• Shopify marketing basics (optional but beneficial).
