Mason (Hotel Maintenance)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Mason to join the Engineering team at Avani Palm View Dubai Hotel & Suites. The successful candidate will carry out masonry, tiling, plastering and general civil maintenance across guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house facilities, ensuring the property remains safe, functional and welcoming.

Key responsibilities

• Perform masonry, plastering, tiling, grouting and concrete repair works throughout the hotel.
• Repair damaged walls, ceilings, floors, walkways, staircases and other finishes.
• Install, replace and repair ceramic, porcelain, marble and granite tiles.
• Carry out minor civil works such as bricklaying, cement rendering, screeding and patch repairs.
• Address cracks, expansion joint failures and waterproofing defects.
• Support room refurbishments, renovation projects and preventive maintenance.
• Inspect finishes, report defects and ensure compliance with health, safety and fire regulations.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and keep accurate work orders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel or commercial masonry and related trades.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal disruption to guests.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and sustainability practices.
