Mass Market Business Development Manager - Modern Trade

About the role

The client, a leading pharmaceutical company in Dubai, seeks a Mass Market Business Development Manager for Modern Trade. The role focuses on driving commercial growth across key mass‑market accounts, managing product positioning, and ensuring execution excellence in hypermarkets and supermarkets.

Key responsibilities

• Own mass‑market accounts, translate ambition into commercial execution and elevate product positioning in‑store.
• Lead business planning, trade investment and category leadership, accountable for account P&L.
• Collaborate with finance, supply, marketing and other functions; provide demand forecasts for the IBP process.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with priority UAE mass‑market customers.
• Manage listings, launches, pricing, promotions and trade terms with commercial discipline.
• Resolve supply and service issues swiftly to maintain execution standards.
• Create promotional plans around key shopper moments and oversee investment planning and retailer submissions.
• Drive shelf execution, planogram compliance and secondary placement; use field insights to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor sales, distribution, execution and trade investment; maintain scorecards and forecasts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management or a related field.
• 6–8 years of commercial experience with strong expertise in UAE modern‑trade account management.
• Proven track record managing leading hypermarket and supermarket customers in the UAE.
• FMCG experience required; experience in consumer health, OTC or VMS is an advantage.
