Mathematics Teacher - Yasmina British Academy

About the role

Aldar Education is recruiting a Mathematics teacher for Yasmina British Academy for the academic year 2027/28. The school is part of Aldar Education's network of schools in Abu Dhabi, serving students from nursery through adult education. The post is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Teach mathematics using the school's curriculum, syllabus, materials and schemes of work, planning lessons and sequences in the long, medium and short term to meet pupils' individual needs.
• Create a positive, engaging classroom environment with clear objectives and motivating, creative lessons that promote critical thinking.
• Support SEN (POD), EAL and G&T students through differentiation, and deliver hybrid, distance and face-to-face lessons.
• Manage classes effectively, follow school policies on behaviour, code of conduct and child safeguarding, and act as a positive role model.
• Maintain good relationships with pupils and parents, and ensure a safe environment for social, emotional and academic growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Passion for teaching, professionalism and a commitment to the well-being of children.
• Ability to deal professionally with a range of stakeholders and to communicate with parents in a diverse, multicultural environment.
• Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.

Required skills

• IT literate and familiar with online technologies used in modern teaching.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritise workload and multitask.
