MEA Engineering Intern – TareeGE (One-year Internship)

About the role

One-year TareeGE – MEA Engineering Intern role focused on regional engineering operations across the Middle East & Africa. The trainee will support building a component matrix for client GIS substations while developing technical analysis and business skills. The position offers mentorship and gradual responsibility in a dynamic engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support services engineering projects from concept through execution.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including MEA Parts Hub, sales and operations.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, quality requirements and safety regulations.
• Assist in preparing technical documentation.
• Participate in site visits, inspections and other site activities when required.
• Continuously develop technical knowledge and engineering best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Electromechanical, Energy or related engineering discipline.
• Strong academic record and solid understanding of engineering fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Familiarity with engineering software relevant to the discipline (advantageous).
• Good analytical, problem‑solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Preference given to UAE Nationals holding a Family Book.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of high‑voltage (HV) products.
• Exposure to CAD tools.
• Experience with SAP.
• Experience with BusinessObjects (BO) or other data analysis software.
