About the role

As the Mechanic Foreman, you will be responsible for managing a team of mechanics and ensuring the timely and effective repair and maintenance of earthmoving, lifting, and auxiliary equipment. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the group's operational efficiency and safety standards while collaborating with other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily workshop operations to ensure efficient and timely repairs.
• Lead and manage a team of mechanics, providing guidance and support.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and strategies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with other departments for smooth equipment operations.
• Train and mentor junior mechanics, fostering continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all maintenance activities.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.
• Represent the department in meetings and provide technical expertise.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar heavy‑equipment maintenance role.
• Strong leadership and management abilities to motivate and guide a team.
• In‑depth knowledge of earthmoving, lifting, and auxiliary equipment maintenance.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting complex issues.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for maintenance purposes.
• Good communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
• Familiarity with industry‑specific maintenance management software.
• Willingness to undergo further training and development as required.
