Mechanical Draughtsman – Water & Wastewater Treatment

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Draughtsman to produce clear mechanical drawings and 3D models for water and wastewater treatment projects in Sharjah. The role works closely with engineers, procurement, fabrication, site and project teams to ensure design accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare general arrangement, P&ID, fabrication, piping and detailed mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Develop 2D and 3D models, isometric and equipment layout drawings, and pipe support designs.
• Coordinate mechanical drawings with electrical and instrumentation requirements and support design changes.
• Assist engineers with material take‑offs, Bill of Materials and equipment layout improvements.
• Review and revise drawings based on client, consultant and site comments, maintaining drawing registers and revision records.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of UAE experience in water and wastewater treatment design, including piping systems and process plants.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D and strong 3D modelling skills; Revit knowledge is a plus.
• Experience in electrical & instrumentation drafting and pipe support design.
