Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Engineer will lead the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of all MEP systems across construction projects. This role ensures that all components meet project specifications, industry standards, and local regulations while supporting overall project goals.

Key responsibilities

• Align MEP engineering strategies with project budgets, timelines, and sustainability objectives.
• Review and interpret design drawings, specifications, and BOQs for constructability.
• Supervise on‑site installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire‑protection systems.
• Coordinate with architects, civil, structural, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration.
• Conduct technical reviews of shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts, technical issues, and compliance gaps.
• Perform regular site inspections to verify safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage procurement, delivery, and quality assurance of MEP materials and equipment.
• Track variations, change orders, and cost impacts related to MEP works.
• Provide technical support during post‑construction defect rectification and system troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in MEP engineering within construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of local codes, standards, and health‑safety regulations.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Experience in value engineering, cost optimization, and emerging building technologies.
