Mechanical Engineer Data Center

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead and manage complex data‑center projects from order initiation through manufacturing, delivery, commissioning, and post‑shipment support. The role provides technical leadership for mechanical systems in mission‑critical facilities, focusing on reliability, efficiency, and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for data‑center projects, covering HVAC, chilled water, cooling, ventilation, and thermal management systems.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for mechanical systems in mission‑critical facilities.
• Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, calculations, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Develop and optimise cooling strategies, including CRAC/CRAH, liquid cooling, free cooling, and containment systems.
• Perform load calculations, airflow analysis, and thermal modelling.
• Ensure designs meet project requirements, international standards, and data‑center uptime/Tier criteria.
• Manage the full customer project lifecycle: order preparation, engineering, manufacturing release, shipment, commissioning, and post‑shipment support.
• Review vendor submittals for compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
• Provide technical support during construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Coordinate project planning, scheduling, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables with customers, vendors, product teams, engineering, and manufacturing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant engineering and project experience.
• Strong background in data‑centers or mission‑critical facilities, HVAC, cooling, or related infrastructure.
• Proven experience in mechanical design, engineering review, and project execution.
