Mechanical Engineer (MEP)

About the role

Careers International is hiring a Mechanical Engineer (MEP) in Dubai for construction projects. The engineer designs, implements and oversees mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing and firefighting, ensuring compliance with design specifications, industry standards and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems according to project specifications
• Prepare MEP shop drawings, load calculations and technical submittals, and perform thermal, fluid flow and ventilation calculations
• Review and approve MEP designs, specifications and Bill of Quantities
• Coordinate with architects, civil and electrical engineers, and work with contractors, suppliers and vendors
• Conduct site inspections and quality control of MEP installations
• Oversee testing and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems, resolve technical issues and ensure energy efficiency and sustainability

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 4-8 years of experience in MEP design, installation and project execution
• Familiarity with MEP codes and standards in the UAE
• Excellent problem-solving, coordination and leadership skills

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP and other MEP software
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and firefighting system design
