Mechanical Engineer – Static

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer specialized in static equipment to join Energy Equipment’s Dubai team. The role involves ensuring technical integrity and quality of mechanical engineering activities for oil and gas projects, complying with international codes and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure technical integrity and quality of assigned mechanical engineering activities.
• Execute engineering tasks in compliance with company procedures, standards, and regulations.
• Review designs, drawings, 3D models and technical documentation.
• Prepare mechanical datasheets, material requisitions and technical bid evaluations.
• Perform feasibility studies, engineering calculations, FEA and detailed engineering activities.
• Develop engineering specifications, reports and related technical documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and vendors and support procurement activities.
• Manage budgets, resource planning and deployment for assigned activities.
• Train, mentor and support less‑experienced engineering personnel.
• Report project progress and technical challenges to lead engineers and project managers.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of mechanical engineering experience in the oil & gas upstream or downstream sector.
• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience in static equipment design, including pressure vessel calculations and FEA.
• Strong knowledge of international mechanical codes such as ASME Sec.VIII Div.1/Div.2, TEMA, PD5500, API 650, 660, 661.
• Experience reviewing vendor offers, preparing technical bid evaluations and supporting tender processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with process, piping, electrical and instrumentation disciplines.
