Mechanical Maintenance Planner (Oil & Gas) – Dubai

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Planner for a reputable oil and gas firm in Dubai to coordinate shutdown, turnaround and daily maintenance activities, ensuring plant integrity, safety and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Set up turnaround overall schedule, identify major milestones and critical path jobs.
• Determine job sequences for daily, unplanned shutdown and turnaround activities and coordinate with operations, maintenance supervisors and engineers.
• Verify schedule accuracy, report progress and challenges, and develop repair schedules, spare‑part lists, manpower and service requirements.
• Prepare and finalize shutdown work scopes, work packs and related documentation (P&ID, isometrics, GA drawings, ITP, etc.).
• Issue work orders and purchase requisitions through the CMMS system and ensure material availability with purchasing and warehouse teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years total experience, including at least 7 years in plant maintenance planning in petrochemical or oil & gas, and 3 years on‑site maintenance.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of plant maintenance in petrochemical/oil & gas.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Experience with CMMS (Oracle, SAP or Maximo).
• Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
• Fluent English with solid reporting abilities.
