Mechanical Shift Technician – RM 5

About the role

The Mechanical Shift Technician for RM 5 will be responsible for maintaining the RM mill in Abu Dhabi, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime. You will work on day‑to‑day and preventive maintenance tasks, as well as respond to breakdowns to keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Execute scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as major repairs on mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate any abnormalities to supervisors and coordinate rectification plans.
• Inspect equipment to ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
• Support senior maintenance staff across all technical areas to guarantee uninterrupted production.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering.
• 5‑6 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial environment.
• Strong focus on cost‑conscious spare consumption and plant availability.
