MEP Designer/Draftsman

About the role

The MEP Designer/Draftsman will join Bash Hesnef’s Dubai office to create detailed mechanical, electrical and plumbing drawings for interior fit‑out projects. This full‑time, on‑site position supports a range of commercial, retail and F&B spaces, ensuring designs meet client expectations and UAE regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare MEP design and shop drawings for interior fit‑out projects, covering HVAC, plumbing, drainage and electrical systems.
• Develop layout plans, load calculations, equipment selections and material submissions.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, consultants and site teams to integrate MEP solutions.
• Ensure all drawings comply with UAE authority regulations and project specifications.
• Attend coordination meetings, resolve site‑related design issues and update drawings based on consultant or client feedback.
• Support project execution, handover documentation and post‑construction follow‑up.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in interior fit‑out projects, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong understanding of UAE authority standards and regulations.
• Experience with retail, office, restaurant or commercial fit‑out environments.
• Excellent coordination and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Knowledge of Revit/BIM (advantage).
