MEP Draftsman – Dubai

About the role

SEE Engineering is looking for an experienced MEP Draftsman to join its Dubai team. The role involves producing accurate shop, coordination and as‑built drawings for mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and UAE authority requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare MEP shop drawings for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, fire‑fighting and fire alarm systems based on consultant designs.
• Create combined services and coordination drawings to achieve clash‑free integration with architectural and structural elements.
• Develop builder’s work drawings, sections, details and layouts required for site execution.
• Update as‑built drawings from site mark‑ups and approved changes.
• Produce drawings for authority submissions (DEWA, Civil Defence, Dubai Municipality) and obtain approvals.
• Revise drawings according to consultant comments, RFIs and design changes while maintaining revision control.
• Coordinate with MEP engineers, site teams and other disciplines to resolve drawing and coordination issues.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions and measurements as needed.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Draughting or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an MEP Draftsman in the construction industry.
• Experience on residential, high‑rise, commercial or infrastructure projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of Revit MEP.
• Familiarity with Navisworks.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, installation methods and drawing standards.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP design drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of UAE authority drawing and submission requirements.
