MEP Inspector – Construction Projects

About the role

The MEP Inspector will provide on‑site supervision and technical support for all mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering aspects of construction projects in Dubai. The role ensures compliance with local codes, standards, contract specifications and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve MEP shop drawings, material submittals and technical documents to ensure they meet project requirements and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, testing and verification of MEP installations, monitoring progress against approved drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Investigate and resolve MEP‑related issues, clashes or defects, coordinating corrective actions with contractors, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, approvals and non‑conformance reports for quality assurance and project documentation.
• Enforce safety procedures on all MEP activities, performing safety inspections and addressing hazards promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in MEP engineering, with at least 3 years on construction projects in the UAE.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Proven experience on large‑scale projects, preferably involving landscape works in the UAE.

Required skills

• Mechanical, electrical and plumbing system inspection.
• Shop drawing and material submittal review.
• Construction codes and standards compliance.
• Site testing and commissioning of MEP installations.
