MEP Manager

About the role

Mace is delivering a major multi‑phase development in Dubai that will become a world‑class destination for international events, business and tourism. The MEP Manager will lead the mechanical, electrical and plumbing design and delivery across pre‑contract and post‑contract phases.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise review, coordination and management of all MEP design packages from pre‑contract through post‑contract.
• Manage design consultants, specialist designers and contractors to ensure technical compliance, buildability and programme alignment.
• Review specifications, drawings, technical submissions and procurement deliverables.
• Support procurement activities, including tender reviews and technical evaluations.
• Monitor on‑site MEP installation, ensuring compliance with approved designs, contract requirements and quality standards.
• Coordinate interfaces between MEP systems, architecture, structure and infrastructure.
• Oversee resolution of technical issues, design changes and contractor queries.
• Manage testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing and handover activities.
• Track progress against programme, identify risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Engage with client representatives, operators, authorities, consultants and contractors.

Required profile

• Degree in mechanical, electrical or building services engineering.
• Chartered status or working towards professional accreditation (preferred).
• Relevant experience delivering major building, infrastructure or mixed‑use developments.
• Strong all‑round MEP experience across pre‑contract and post‑contract phases.
• Proven experience in design reviews, technical coordination, procurement support and on‑site construction management.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary consultants, contractors and specialist subcontractors.
• Understanding of testing, commissioning and handover processes for complex facilities.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
