MEP Quantity Surveyor

About the role

A full-time MEP Quantity Surveyor is sought to support commercial control of MEP works from measurement through payment, variation and subcontractor administration. The role suits a commercially disciplined professional who works closely with project, procurement, planning and commercial teams to ensure accurate quantities, timely payment applications and proper contractual records.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and verify MEP quantities from drawings, BOQs, site progress and approved records.
• Support interim payment applications, variations, change records, claims support and cost reporting.
• Review subcontractor measurements, payment certificates, variation submissions and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, planning, procurement and commercial teams to track progress and cost impact.
• Maintain quantity records, measurement sheets, variation logs, subcontractor logs and commercial backup documents.
• Assist in procurement comparisons, material take-offs and cost analysis for MEP packages.
• Support close-out of final accounts and commercial handover documentation.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of MEP quantity surveying experience on contracting projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP drawings, BOQ measurement, payment applications, variations and subcontractor billing.
• Good knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection quantities.
• Ability to work with site and commercial teams under strict submission deadlines.
• Desired: UAE/GCC contracting experience; knowledge of FIDIC conditions, CESMM/POMI or relevant measurement standards.

Required skills

• Strong Excel, documentation, commercial reporting and coordination skills.
• Desired: experience using Candy, CostX, ERP or similar commercial systems.
